Overview:

 

Primary curriculum elevates a child to another level towards career building practices. The conceptual understanding of the subjects acquired in Early Year Program proves to be of great benefit at this level. New curriculum is introduced to a child with the advancement in the learning subjects.

The factors required for the right career building are the major significant ingredients of the Primary curriculum. Academics, inculcating life values and ethics are thoroughly observed throughout this vital stage in child’s development. With the right approach towards the physical, mental and emotional development of child, he/she can be empowered with comprehensive abilities making him/her capable of discerning his/her academic and personal goals.

The pursuit of the Primary curriculum is a tough task of giving them clear understanding of the topics that are related more to their career, than just their classroom. Teaching Methodology:

 

Teaching methodologies follows the application based methods where basic subject concepts are cleared through practical learning experiences. The idea of ‘Learning by doing’ is applied for every subject learning, be it Math, Science, Social Studies and even additional subjects like Computer Sciences.

The visual approach of teaching-learning environment allows learning of a subject in the most creative way. Introducing the subject Kits like Science Kits, Math Kits, EVS Kits, we let our students to understand the topic thoroughly.

Primary classes cover basic

ENGLISH English for Primary is integrated with EVS, and focuses on language literature. Creative writing for stories, articles, newspapers, etc. Reading and Comprehension skills
Languages Multi-linguistic skills add a huge advantage to the personality of a child. It not only helps him in better communication but also provides him with wider opportunities in every field.
English, Hindi, French, Kannada, Marathi
The First Language option is English. This is mandatory for all grades.

Second Language option includes Hindi, Kannada, and French. While these options are open from grade I, French is open for the students of grade V to grade X.

For Third Language option, Marathi, Kannada, Hindi, and French. These languages are covered since Grade I till Grade VIII.

French is a compulsory language as the Fourth Language. This language option is from grade II till grade IV.

Environmental Science (EVS) Environmental Science is integrated with social studies subjects for the students of grade III to V. Hands-On learning experience for Science and Social Science concepts. Computer Science The primary classes are introduced to an integrated version of computer science. Children are familiarized with various softwares and their functioning. Puzzle Circuits/Kits Increasing the curiosity in our students for electronics.

Assessment

Weekly Assessments – 20 min objective tests that act as checkpoints in a student’s academic schedule, conducted in the buffer periods to maintain a child’s consistency.
Periodic Assessments – Objective and Subjective tests conducted once in each term for all scholastic subjects, that accounts to 10% in final results.
Summative Assessments – Objective and Subjective tests conducted at the end of each term for all scholastic subjects except Computers. These tests accounts for 40% in the final results.
External Assessments – Gray Matters, SOF, ASSET, HOMI BHABHA, Spell Bee, The Learning Purpose, Google Contest etc.
